Club Penguin Teases #ProjectSuperSecret Gameplay In New Video

Today on the Club Penguin blog, a new Project: Super Secret gameplay teaser was uploaded. A 31-second video of what is to become Project: Super Secret being played on a smartphone was released. The blog post was appropriately titled Project: Super Secret - Meet the Band as in the short clip, Megg is jamming out with her friends on the stage and making some noise! Click below to watch the video on the Club Penguin website.


This also serves to give us a sneak peek of the new chat system, involving custom emojis to chat with your friends!

Club Penguin Blog: CLUB PLATYPUS!

Megg has made a very interesting post on the Club Penguin blog, called Project: Super Secret – Thrill'a with a Duck Bill'a, in which she basically explains that Club Penguin is becoming something different... Club Platypus! She says THIS is what Project Super Secret is!! What??!

I'd like to welcome you all to:
CLUB PLATYPUS!

We have a fantastic new artist who has no ability to draw penguins whatsoever! Could this be the end of Project Super Secret? Fortunately no, because our artist can draw amazing platypuses (platypi?, platypodes?, whatever).

From there, the choice was easy-- we didn't have one!

Don't worry! This is still the Project Super Secret you've been waiting for, with just one difference-- no penguins!

Instead, famous penguins like Aunt Arctic will be sporting a new look.

Way to rock the duck bill, AA!

Of course, that's not the only change. Herbert will be returning as a hamster and Klutzy will be a blobfish.

This seemed like the natural progression of the characters.

#ProjectSuperSecret Video Planned for March

Some exciting news has broken out recently on the Club Penguin blog. On the most recent Puffle Spotlight, "They Call it Yellow Stego," a curious penguin by the name of Pen50gi asked a particular question.

He queried Megg about Project Super Secret, asking her if a PSS video has been planned for the near future.

As you can see from the screenshot, he asked:

Are we going to get any Project Super Secret videos anytime soon?

To which Megg responded:

Yeah! I was working on one for February, but ran into some trouble. It should be ready for mid March :)

This is great news. Not only has she been planning some more spoilers for Project Super Secret, but we will be seeing them quite soon, mid-March as she states. I can't wait!

What We Know About #ProjectSuperSecret So Far...

Club Penguin will soon be undergoing some massive changes to the game in its entirety. We know vaguely how it will change and why, and Spike Hike has described it as "[the] next big thing for CP and beyond". The team at Disney Interactive have been working on this for a while now, under the guise of Project: Super Secret (or #ProjectSuperSecret on Twitter).

From as early as July 2015 Club Penguin have been releasing spoilers and sneak peeks to hint at Project Super Secret. Some have revealed big changes and some have just showed small hints for us to anticipate over.

As many have predicted, PSS will be released in 2016. I would like to make a list on my blog of all the sneak peeks so far, so when it is released, we can put the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together. But also, so we have a clear understanding of how the game will operate and what it will look like. Every time a new sneak peek is shown to us, from January 2, 2016 to the release date, I will update this post.

Okay, let's start out with July 2015. Club Penguin released the first spoiler on their blog, with a video called "Sneak Peek of #ProjectSuperSecret - Disney Club Penguin". The video includes a clothing customiser, where penguins will be able to choose a blank canvas of clothing such as a hoodie and be able to customise the colour, pattern and the final decal.

Spike Hike's Revealing #ProjectSuperSecret Spoiler!

Last night, Club Penguin's general manager Spike Hike tweeted this image, with the caption:

Hey, this looks familiar, yet different. Are we in a new dimension?

The picture went viral and was soon spread by over 200 people across Twitter. It is believed to be a sneak peek of the island for Project: Super Secret.
