Club Penguin Reportedly Closed Down In Local Man's Terrifying Nightmare

Written by: || Tags:

PEARL CITY, HONOLULU—Cheats With Dino has received some exclusive coverage of a local man's terrifying nightmare that he experienced earlier today. Reports have stated that Simon Adinger woke from his slumber at roughly 10:30AM today, after dozing off at roughly 1AM, relieved to find that his nightmare he suffered from just hours earlier about Disney's Club Penguin shutting down unexpectedly was just that, a nightmare, and not his reality.

The 24-year-old man in question, also know as 'Siboy1' online, suspects his chilling nightmare was induced by the cold room he was sleeping in at the time. Adinger mentioned to a Cheats With Dino reporter that when he woke up, he noticed that his window was cranked open as he fell asleep forgetting to close it, making the room quite cold and resulting in his nightmare, he believes. Dr. Daniel Shade, of the Allegheny Health Network Sleep Institute does not fully agree that sleeping in a room that is too cold can directly affect your dreams. However, he supports the idea of sleeping in a temperature-controlled room. “A little bit cooler temperature tends to help a lot of people sleep better.”

Cheats With Dino has also received some exclusive information from Adinger, revealing that, while he is relieved that the game he loved as a child is not permanently closing, it has led to some questions about what is truly happening in his subconscious. "I mean, the last time I touched my Club Penguin account was probably in 2008, when I was playing with my high-school buddies," Adinger chuckled to our reporters. "It's cool that my brain likes to pick up on old stuff that I haven't actually thought about in years, but it does make me wonder why Club Penguin and why at this time, also," the troubled adult added.

When asked about if this nightmare has motivated him to play Club Penguin again and reconnect with old friends that he once played with, Adinger mentioned he was simply too busy to pick up "a hobby like Club Penguin again, at least for now."

Gilbert the Gingerbread Man's Escape (Short Story)

Written by: || Tags:
Hi everyone!

Quick apology from me to say that blogging has been slow for the past few weeks due to studying and lack of free time. Rest assured, I will be back up to it 100% in the coming weeks.

For now, enjoy some fresh content. Here is a short Holiday-themed story I wrote: Gilbert the Gingerbread Man's Escape.

Gilbert the Gingerbread Man's Escape

This is Gilbert the Gingerbread man.

Screenshot_951.png

Gilbert the Gingerbread man is just your average gingerbread man. He works in his bakery, and he loves his job - sometimes. He has a routine and he usually sticks to it.

Everyday he wakes up, eats his gingerbread breakfast, brushes his gingerbread teeth, does his gingerbread chores and then goes back to his gingerbread bed to have a gingerbread sleep.

Screenshot_954.png

But Gilbert doesn’t lead the happiest life. Due to the fact that he’s a gingerbread man, he lives in his bakery. It’s where he was born, so it’s where he’ll live until he is eaten.

Usually gingerbread men don’t care about their work, it’s fine for them and gives them a reason to wake up in the mornings.

However, Gilbert is different. Gilbert has a bigger gingerbread brain than most gingerbread men, so naturally he questions why he works, and how different life is on the outside. As these thoughts dot around his gingerbread mind, and as the weeks building up to Christmas add more and more pressure to his routine, he has found it difficult to function in his perpetual routine, and his soul begs to abscond.

How Many Times Can You Spot 'The Grinch' In This Project Super Secret Teaser Image?

Written by: || Tags:
Ah, The Grinch, a holiday favourite. How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a childhood classic of mine.

Coming up to the holidays, I want to introduce a lot more festivities to Cheats With Dino—something I haven't really done in the past—and who is a more festive character than the evil mastermind-monster-turned-lovable animal himself: The Grinch?

Count how many times you can spot The Grinch in this Project Super Secret teaser image and scroll down for the answer. Make sure to click on the image to see its full size!

Answer (highlight to see): There are 7 Grinches hiding in this image!

Club Penguin: Early Concept Art - Part 2 (Characters)

Written by: || Tags:

On October 3, I launched my first blog post in a new short series that I announced was starting on Cheats with Dino, named: Club Penguin: Early Concept Art. In this series I talked about how I was going to feature and discuss pieces of early concept art from the very depths of Club Penguin's archives. The first post was a success, garnering lots of interest from the Club Penguin community.

Today, 12 days later, I am releasing the second part of the series! In part 1, I focused on rooms and the designing of rooms from the very fist sketch, to the final product. Today will be quite different, because—as you can guess from the title—we will be looking at characters. Everything from mascots to puffles will be highlighted in this episode. So, without further ado, let's dive straight in.

Let's start quite far back, how does 2005 sound? Good? Good. Firstly, I'd like to give a little bit of a backstory. In November of 2005 in Club Penguin, many sightings were being reported of various coloured balls of fluff popping up around the island. Unbeknownst to the users of the time, these would grow into one of Club Penguin's most iconic symbols: puffles!

Club Penguin: Early Concept Art - Part 1 (Rooms)

Written by: || Tags:

Let's talk about something new today. Let's talk: concept art. Since Club Penguin is a flash game, and has been that way since 2005, (read this article to learn more about how flash runs the game) this means when the Club Penguin team wants to add a new item, they have to draw it in Adobe Flash before it's allowed to be hosted on their media servers.

However, most times, before working on the final draft, they sketch out some concept art on paper, or sometimes they make an early prototype digitally. Over the years, most of this concept art has been stored and collected, as it is used as a basis for the final model.

This makes for some crazy art that us regular players never get to see. Until today. I have with me some concept art that I've collected over the years. These released images have been posted around the web, primarily on the social media accounts of old art designers, or the official Club Penguin blog.

What is an SWF? – a brief introduction to Small Web Formats and Flash

Written by: || Tags:

A small web format (commonly abbreviated to 'SWF' and its plural form SWFs), is a flash file used for multimedia, vector graphics and ActionScript. The file format belongs to Adobe, currently being used in their program Adobe Flash.

SWF used to stand for ShockWave Flash file, however this meaning was eliminated and it was changed to small web format to avoid confusion.

An SWF, most simply, is a macromedia file. But it holds a deeper meaning to us Club Penguin players, of course. The reason for this is because without SWF files, the game would cease to exist, because Club Penguin was built out of, and runs with flash.

Club Penguin Frozen Fever Party 2016 Cheats

Written by: || Tags:

Club Penguin's brand new party has arrived today on the island, the Frozen Fever Party 2016!

This party was officially announced on the official What's New blog on August 2, 2016 in a post made by Megg, who claims the party is making it's return for everyone who missed out on the Frozen Parties of 2014 and 2015.

It is the seventeenth sponsored party Club Penguin is hosting, and the third in the line of Frozen parties. It will be running from today (August 17) until September 28.

Today, I will be walking you through this party in my Club Penguin Frozen Fever Party Cheats Guide for 2016!

Everything You Need to Know About The Frozen Fever Party 2016

Written by: || Tags:

A lot of penguins are upset about some recent news that broke out on Club Penguin. Some penguins are happy, but most are unhappy.

What is this news, you ask? Well, Megg recently gave some hints out on Twitter and the Club Penguin Blog that for the third year in a row, Club Penguin will be hosting a Frozen-theme party.

After the success of Disney's Frozen (2013), Club Penguin decided to hold their official Frozen party in 2014 and a re-run called the Frozen Fever party in 2015. People thought that after these two parties came and went, the hype would be over, but the news that another Frozen party coming created tension within the community, most because penguins were craving an original party, instead of a 'takeover'.

The party coming this year will be the second Frozen Fever party (and hopefully the last for some). So, here is everything you need to know about the Frozen Fever 2016 party on Club Penguin.

When?

The party will be held from August 18th to September 28th, 2016. That is a grand total of 42 days that the party will be available on the island, or 6 weeks.

Where?

All over the island, ya silly. The Frozen Fever party will be on every Club Penguin server in all languages available on the game.

Why?

The party is being hosted because Megg states that a lot of players requested it, and this is a party for the players that missed out on the 2014 and 2015 parties.

To those who have experience with Club Penguin, please help out the new players with your top tips about what to do at the party.

What?

According to Megg, "the island will once again be decked out in your favorite rooms from the Frozen Party, along with places inspired by Disney's Frozen Fever animated short."

There will be a running quest throughout the party as well, penguins will be able to waddle around the island collecting snowflakes. These snowflakes will unlock prizes, and once you've collected them all, a special item—the Ice Party Hat—will be unlocked for you to wear.

Members can: adopt the Olaf puffle (also known as the snowman puffle) and transform into Olaf and Marshmallow.

Your Favourite Celebrities As Club Penguin Characters!

Written by: || Tags:
If there's one thing I've always loved about Club Penguin, it's how the game can stay so original to the snowy, desolate island canon whilst still bringing in realistic, real-world elements. For example, we know that we're playing as penguins who live on an island in the middle of nowhere, but we can still get a coffee whenever we want, play games, dress up with fashionable items and even access computers and mobile phones in the game.

The game is as realistic and relatable to modern-day Western society as it can be. Or is it? Do we need something more? We have the clothes, the food, the activities, etc... but we don't have the people.

That's why today we will be looking at what four of your favourite celebrities would look like in Club Penguin.

#1 – Elvis Presley

You'd be lying if you said you didn't know who Elvis Presley is. Elvis, also known as "the King" was the most influential 1950s rock 'n' roll star the world has ever seen. With such classic hits as "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock" and "An American Trilogy," Elvis was truly an inspiration. So it's no wonder we'd want to see him re-created in Club Penguin. The closest the team has come to resembling Elvis was in the July 2008 Penguin Style catalog, sporting a very fancy outfit!

Complete the look!

My Top 5 Club Penguin Parties! (2007–2011)

Written by: || Tags:

Hello everyone. Today is a very exciting day. April 12 is the birthday of Dino Boy7, and it is a very special birthday as my penguin is nine years old today. Typing that out is completely crazy to me. I cannot believe I have been playing Club Penguin for nine whole years. I’ve never had a commitment to a game that long! Not too long ago was my fifth year of blogging for Club Penguin too, time has flown by so fast. But I wouldn’t trade those nine years for the world.

For this special occasion, I was going to make a whole blog post just about me and what I’ve been doing on Club Penguin from 2007 to now, but that’s boring and no one would like that.

I thought instead I’d do something rather special. Since I’ve been on Club Penguin at least weekly for pretty much the whole nine years, my penguin Dino Boy7 has experienced all of the parties from 2007 to present. I knew it’d be too long if I did my favourite party every year over the past nine years, so I’ve cut it down to my top 5 favourite from 2007 to 2011. This allows me to pick out 1 party from each year.

I will be naming a party, introducing it and showing my favourite rooms, as well as listing the best parts of the party, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy!

I have pretty much grown up with this game, and it has created some of the fondest memories of my childhood. I spent a lot of time inside playing Club Penguin, and somehow I have not given up even to this day. It’s basically stuck with me the whole time.

Enough with the emotional stuff, let’s get into the post. I hope you enjoy My Top 5 Club Penguin Parties! (from 2007-2011)

URGENT: Stop Meggbot from Taking Over the Blog!

Written by: || Tags:
An urgent message from Megg has been posted on the Club Penguin blog!
This is urgent, and I don't have much time... I've heard we need to find Meggbot's fear in order to get the blog back!

One of my fears is spiders, maybe that will work? I've put on my spider costume... but maybe try sending in your best spider drawing to our fan art page... I gotta go!

Good luck,

-Megg
Hurry everyone. Save the blog before Meggbot takes over.

Club Penguin Ski Hill Fan Art - Quickie Post

Written by: || Tags:

The Club Penguin community is talented. That's a fact. There are so many people that are a part of this community on Twitter and various fan websites and blogs, that have such a talent when it comes to drawing! Usually, I take a look on what some penguins have submitted to the Club Penguin website, as often there is some gems that can be found. Today I was checking it, and I noticed a particularly eye-catching piece of artwork. It is a visualisation of the Ski Hill, with some penguins hanging out there, watching what I believe to be the northern lights show(?). I am saddened that the original author did not sign it but nonetheless, it is a wonderful piece of art!

What do you think?

We've Reached Half a Million (500,000) Hits!

Written by: || Tags:
Hello fellow penguins! I am proud to announce something special today... Club Penguin Cheats with Dino has reached HALF A MILLION (500,000) all time views, this is so exciting!

I started off this blog with a friend in early 2011, I then made it my own website later that year. I started posting the latest newspapers, cool things I found on the island, then I began to post the updates that came out every Thursday, make my own graphics, and work super duper hard on it everyday!

I spent nearly a whole summer inside on my computer fixing issues, creating logos and graphics, and trying to make my website one of the best places to find cheats and guides, to help everyone that's new or experienced with Club Penguin!

I am so glad all that hard work paid off, it's only another 500k until we reach my all time goal of a million. I'm also really happy to have made so many friends on my way to this milestone!

I have to thank you guys for visiting my website, and supporting me all this way. I am proud to have you as a fan, or a friend. Club Penguin may just be a game, but it has been a game that has changed my life.

Club Penguin Releasing New Emotes Soon

Written by: || Tags:
Hello penguins! Due to recent updates and sneak peeks revolving around the world of Club Penguin, a theory has arisen from my mind that tackles the question, will Club Penguin be releasing new emoticons in the near future? I have some evidence to back up my idea, and also some points that you may think are convincing and will contribute to this theory.

Take a look at these images below. They are both pictures that Club Penguin have published with never-before-seen emotes in them.

The first emote is a freezing face emoticon. It was first spotted in the new log out screen. Polo Field answered a penguin on Twitter and said that the emote will only be released during the Holiday Party 2012 as I think that it doesn't really suit any other warm season.

Now, the second emote has not been discussed, however it was revealed by Polo Field in his newest blog post revealing that Coins for Change is approaching as the Holiday season is too. It is a cookie emote, perfect for when you're baking those Christmas cookies on Club Penguin!

Are you looking forward to seeing these new emotes on the island? Let me know on my Twitter, or by leaving a comment.

Happy Halloween from Dino Boy7!

Written by: || Tags:
Hey there penguins. You may be wondering why this isn't a cheat or something, and I don't usually do these type of posts, but I'm actually here for a quickie post to say Happy Halloween!! Today is one of my favorite holidays. October 31st is the one time of the year where you can dress up in scary costumes and knock on peoples houses for sweets or candy. I know a lot of you guys are going trick or treating in real life, so remember to not go out before it gets too dark and always stay with a parent or guardian.

If you don't celebrate Halloween, you can still dress up on Club Penguin and enjoy the fun party they have brought out.

Are you going trick or treating this year? Also what are you dressing up as? Leave a comment below!
