Club Penguin Times Issue #552 - WE FOUND DORY!

Club Penguin has updated, and with all the updates is the long-awaited newspaper of the island, known as the Club Penguin Times. Today's newspaper is the twentieth this year, bringing us to a total of 552 issues of all time.

A new issue of the Club Penguin Times is released every fortnight on the island, and contains interesting articles about current and upcoming events, keeping us up-to-date with the happenings on the island. It also contains some jokes, fan art, and much more great content.

Meeting Rookie on Club Penguin - March 2016

Rookie's meet-ups for Operation Tri-Umph concluded today, March 1, 2016. Rookie had planned to do two sets of meet-ups from February - March for the newest operation, and they were great fun!

I met Rookie in February two weeks ago and documented it in my Meeting Rookie on Club Penguin February 2016 post. In that post, I showed a lot of screenshots that I took from the meet-up. For this meet-up, I tried to take just as many, however it was difficult as Rookie only stayed for approximately eleven minutes. But it was still an AWESOME time meeting him, and there was a lot more variety in terms of movement compared to my original post.

Let's walk through it! It started off at 10:00AM Penguin Standard Time. Rookie appeared in the Town Centre on time and said hello. I dressed up in my monkey costume to make Rookie laugh. I asked him if he liked it and he said it was awesome. I am proud.

Rookie thought we looked all cute being tiny penguins waddling around a minature baseball stadium, it seemed to amuse him which is nice.

I met him yesterday, February 18 on Fog at 3PM PST. It was a blast! I managed to stay for a while to see what he had to say. It was a fun time hanging out and having fun.

Rookie arrived bang on time, at 3:00PM. Here he is, being greeted by everyone. Notice the huge crowd forming around him, making it impossible for him to be seen at this point.

Club Penguin Operation Tri-Umph 2016 Guide (Phase II)

Phase the second of Operation Tri-Umph has been launched on the Club Penguin Island. Last week, Herbert's Shrink Ray of Doom was placed in the Snow Forts and everyone was clueless. Well, if you log in today, you'll notice that it had a purpose. Yes, a very malicious purpose.

Herbert is SHRINKING Club Penguin! When you log on, Herbert's dialogue will enter your screen.

MWAHAHAHA! The shrink ray is ready! You penguins will be too small to stop me!

What? Rookie was shrunk by Herbert! Oh no.

 

Oh hey! I'm Tiny Rookie! Well, actually I'm Regular Rookie, but Herbert shrunk me down.

 

It's not so bad. When life hands you tiny lemons, make a tiny bit of lemonade, right?

Club Penguin Operation Tri-Umph 2016 Guide (Phase I)

If you logged on to Club Penguin between Wednesday 10th February and today, you would've seen that the first phase of 'Operation Tri-Umph' has been launched. Upon logging in, you will be transported to the Snow Forts, that Herbert has decked out with lights and music, to disguise his plans to take over the island.

Both the Club Penguin Team and mascots are oblivious to his true intent.

 

MWAHAHAHAHA! My ultimate laser is ready!

By laser, Herbert is referring to the SHRINK RAY OF DOOM, which -- spoilers! -- will be used to shrink Club Penguin!

First I will blast those puny Snow Forts. Then... EVERYTHING ELSE!

Club Penguin: Top 5 Facts About Rookie!

He's funny, he's not very intelligent (as far as we're concerned), and he's the clumsiest EPF agent known to penguin-kind. Here are the top five facts about Club Penguin's very own Rookie.

Did you know that it took Rookie FORTY FOUR attempts before he finally completed the test to join the Elite Penguin Force? Our fledging functionary mentions, in the PSA Mission 11, he couldn't get it right on the first time, or the second, third. It took him more tries than hours in a day! Oh Rookie.


"Rookie" is not actually his real name! How surprising. He claims it's "too silly" to say, so he dubs himself "Rookie," and quite proudly too. At least it fits with his personality.



It's a known fact that Rookie is actually noted to be quite smart in culinary; he has previously stored his very own recipes in the System Defender game, as well as a lot of bugs.





He was first introduced as a mascot in 2011, during the April Fools' party, although he was in many Penguin Secret Agency missions beforehand, working alongside Gary and Jet Pack Guy.

According to the Club Penguin Top Trumps game, his intelligence level is 13/100, whereas Aunt Arctic's is 91/100. Yikes, Rookie's got some catching up to do.

Club Penguin Extreme Paint Festival at the Dock!

Club Penguin is holding an Extreme Paint Festival party at the Dock on the island. It's basically the second of the small mini-events that are being released every week now. First was the Mustache fiasco, and now it's a paint festival of sorts. No free items this time. Sad face.

When you log on, Rookie will prompt you to go to the Dock to check it out!

At the Dock, there is a massive white sheet for us to chuck stuff at, and have fun! If you notice, the snowballs are actually bags of paint. Cool!

There is also a nice lil' canvas that creates fun paintings when you throw enough paint at it!

I will leave you with this thought: read the newspaper, read carefully Rookie's dialogue that comes up when you log in. And think about this: Extreme Paint Festival. That's all.

Club Penguin Mustache Mini Party!

There is a mini party on Club Penguin right now. If you go to the Forest you can pick up five mustaches and wear them, for a small event that is being held on the island right now. MUSTACHES!

When you log on, Rookie will greet you and ask if you'd like a mustache, how nice of him. Click "Go there!" to be transported to the Forest.

As you can see below, there are many mustaches to choose from. Which one do you like the most?

Club Penguin Halloween Party Day 8 - Rookie Bot Walkthrough

Rookie's bot is rampaging the island this Halloween, and for the 8th day, we must scare the Rookie bot in order to progress in the party and gain the free items. If you've completed the missions for defeating the other broken bots, then when you log in, Agent Rookie will inform you of his bot going wild. Click "Go there!" to head to the Plaza.

Club Penguin MascBots Are Malfunctioned!

Hello everyone, important news! The 521st issue of the Club Penguin Times informed us about the MascBots going 'bonkers' on the island, messing up the recorded lines and saying eerie things. I believe that this is due to the "Notta Bare" theory I talked about here. In summary, I believed Herbert was given the blueprints by accident by Gary in last week's newspaper, under the guise of a penguin name. There is a lot of evidence to support it as you will see in the post, and I believe that Herbert has tampered with the bots to malfunction them and wreak havoc on Club Penguin.
