As you may know, one of Club Penguin's most popular items is their pin, an item you can collect every two weeks that are hidden around the island for us to collect and show off in our playercards. For me, they are what make Club Penguin special. As they are only released for two weeks and then they are gone forever. This way you can tell how old or rare a penguin is via their stamp book or playercard.

Club Penguin Red Lei History
The Hawaiian Lei (commonly called the Red Lei) in Club Penguin is the rarest of all neck items, being released only once at the Winter Luau 2006 and only seen once after that when the Spanish moderator Tato Maxx gave it to everyone who attended his August 2013 party he held.
Most people recognize the Hawaiian Lei on Club Penguin a very rare item and with all due respect, and many penguins wish to obtain this majestic item, to symbolize rarity or to gain respect. This is a post on the history of the Red Lei. It is Club Penguin's second rarest item, right after the first every party hat, the Beta Hat.

This is a post on the history of the Red Lei. It is Club Penguin's second rarest item, right after the first every party hat, the Beta Hat.
- It was released during the Winter Luau Party 2006.
- It has only appeared once, at the party, hence the popularity and rarity.
- It was spotted on a Tiki Statue at the Night Club during the Island Adventure Parties.
- It is classed as the rarest neck item on the island.
- Club Penguin have thought of bringing it back.
Here is a screenshot of what the Red Lei looked like when getting it at the Winter Luau Party 2006.
Many penguins such as Pollywogg, Wolfgang1, Sportygal21, Penguln, Delibird, and Ice Vivi have this item.
"You have found a Hawaiian Lei. Would you like to pick it up?"
The lei seen in a Club Penguin photo snippet.
Here it is again, spotted on the shelf in the Clothes Shop.
Original pictures from the Winter Luau in 2006, Notice how many penguins are wearing it and dancing.
What the Red Lei looks like on Club Penguin,
Who knows? Maybe the item will come back, if we keep asking Club Penguin may finally decide to release it. Personally, I don't want it to be released again because it was such a cool item and I don't want everyone to have it, it's known for it's rarity, and that's how it should stay.

red hard hat
The Red Hard Hat is an extremely rare item that can no longer be obtained on Club Penguin. It was obtainable through the CPIP project back in 2008 by a couple of penguins and will never be brought back. Many penguins want this items because it shows rarity. However, most of the new players do not know of this item and thus the Red Hard Hat is no longer looked up to as it was before.
- It was released once in the 2008 Club Penguin Improvement Project.
- If you dance while wearing it you will use a red jackhammer.
- I received this item through CPIP when it was released in 2008!
- It is classed as a Beta Item.
- It can be seen in the Tool Shed on the Club Penguin DS game.
Here is what it looks like on a playercard.
