Weekly Club Penguin Newspaper Makes Switch To Fortnightly Publishing

Last week, what was meant to be the 547th issue of the Club Penguin Times newspaper was never released. This sent the Club Penguin community in a frenzy, trying to figure out if Club Penguin had simply forgotten, or were making some big changes. One curious penguin by the name of Nina1059CP on Twitter emailed the support team to try and find an answer, and they replied back, informing her that the newspaper will now be published every two weeks, instead of once every week.

Club Penguin Mobile App Update – 1.6.15

The Club Penguin App (formerly called My Penguin) has updated to its most recent version: version 1.6.15, for all mobile devices that the application is available on. They have updated it for Operation DOOM that will be releasing February 11, 2016. If you have iOS 7 or Android 4.0.3 (or later) you can download it.

The updates include the Operation DOOM event, taking place from February 11 - March 2.

Here is the icon for the app. It is an EPF agent, the same icon that Club Penguin used for their 1.6.12 update.

Here is the description of the iTunes store description:

"MWAHAHAHA! OPERATION DOOM is Feb. 11-Mar. 2."

Herbert P. Bear's Website – ClubHerbert.com Updated

Operation: Doom is coming up soon on Club Penguin, and Herbert's website, ClubHerbert.com, has been updated to provide context of Herbert's recent plans.

There is a single image of blueprints to Herbert's shrink ray of doom with Klutzy's eyes visible, peeking over the table.

Notice the hammer. The hammer was added recently and was not on the old website, which means he has been working on something for all this time.

Club Penguin Blog: Lights in the Sky!

Hi everyone! First and foremost, my apologies for temporarily discontinuing my daily blog updates. I have missed two days of frequent updates. I assure you everything will be back on track from now on.

Megg from the Club Penguin staff team has made a comment about the recent alien abductions on the island, and mentioned that she herself has been abducted and received the tinfoil hat. This concludes that these happenings are universal and unknown even to someone as high-up in the Club Penguin-realm as her. For context, I will publish the full blog post that was created yesterday, entitled Lights in the Sky! below.

Hi Penguins!

This may sound strange... but you guys trust me, right?

Okay so... I've seen WEIRD things. Just yesterday I saw a light in the sky beam up a penguin. No, really! She was there one second and then POOF... gone!

When I saw her again she was wearing a tinfoil hat. Isn't that nuts?! And AWESOME, obviously. I've been seeing more and more penguins wearing them.

It can't just be me who's noticed!

Maybe the lights are from weather balloons.... right?

Club Penguin have updated their log-in screen. It says "special items for members this month", in reference to the September 2015 Penguin Style clothing catalog that has been released.

As you can see, all the items featured are purchasable in the catalog this month, so log on to Club Penguin and pick some up while you can.

Club Penguin Russian & German Languages Removed

Club Penguin, as expected, have removed their Russian and German language servers from the website. On the 27th of August they posted on their blog that they were removing the two languages--and thanked us for playing them!

Club Penguin Puffle Digging Update! (Puffles Can Dig Items)

Hey fellow penguins! Club Penguin have made an update to the new Puffle Digging game. Instead of only digging up coins, puffles can now dig up items, and they're pretty rare too. Puffles can dig up clothing and furniture items as of right now, there's a list of them below.

Club Penguin Card-Jitsu Party 2013 Emoticons + Annoying Bugs!

With the Card-Jitsu Party this year comes ups and downs. The ups are these fantastic new emoticons. There are 4. The Fortune Cookie, Teapot, Chopsticks and Soup.

The downs are the bugs, I've experienced only two, which is okay considering this party has just been launched on the island.

When I tried to open up my newspaper on a lag-filled server, it didn't work and I could see myself reading nothing.

However, this can easily be resolved by logging off and on again, or refreshing the page. Waddle on!

Club Penguin Sending Out New Penguin Activation Emails

When a new penguin is created, Club Penguin send out emails to the parents of that account. There are two emails that send, one to activate the account, and one to confirm the activation/welcome the penguin. The style of these emails has been changed. They now look more professional than the previous emails and the quality is better, they are also easy to read and instructions are clearer.

Club Penguin Playercard Inventory Wig Update

Club Penguin have added a minor update to the player inventory. The wigs are now displayed on an animated penguins head so you can know what your item looks like before you wear it on your outfit!

This is a cool new feature, but I'm not quite sure why the swimming hat and goggles are being displayed since they're not a wig. Do you enjoy Club Penguin's updates?

Club Penguin Prehistoric Party "Dino Chat" Update

Club Penguin's first ever Prehistoric Party was released not too long ago, and the island is jam packed with prehistoric & dinosaur features; including a new one called Dino Chat. With this, you can speak like cavemen would. Simply click on the chat setting at the bottom left of your screen and select "Dino Chat".
