4 CRAZY Things You Didn't Notice at the Wilderness Party

Written by: || Tags:

While the Wilderness Party may seem like a fun Club Penguin party with a basic plot and story line, there is actually more to the party than what meets the eye.

I was looking around the sasquatch village on the other side of the maze, and to my surprise I noticed some very familiar relics and objects that have been placed around the village.

Whether these items have been hidden by Club Penguin for us to notice, or they are simply obvious nods to the game's past, they're with no doubt very intriguing.

Today, I am proud to introduce you to 4 oddly familiar things you didn't notice at the Wilderness Party.

Club Penguin has just announced on their official blog that a Zootopia party will be coming next month to the island, and here's all you need to know.

The party starts on May 19, and ends on July 6, 2016. Members will have access to some exclusive Zootopia-themed items.

Megg has confirmed this on the Club Penguin blog. She has noted that Clawhauser is one of the available costumes at the party. Exciting!!

Hi penguins,

Now's your chance. ZOOTOPIA is on its way to Club Penguin!

Get ready for Savanna Central hang-outs with your friends! What a great place for a pawpsicle... Mmmm!

The party is on from May 19 - June 6, 2016. Members will have access to some wild Zootopia themed outfits! Does that mean I get to dress as Clawhauser? I hope so! I really want donuts.

Is this the perfect time to talk about our favorite Zootopia characters? YES! Let me know yours in the comments.

Club Penguin Apologises for Featuring a Hacker in Last Week's POTW

Written by: || Tags:

Last week, Club Penguin featured a Penguin of the Week by the name of Huge R5 Fan. This particular penguin was nominated by their friend Disney Fan 8i. However, they were unaware of one crucial rule to submitting a penguin for POTW.

It has come to Club Penguin's attention that the penguin that won has used cheating methods to hack in items for their igloo. This was noticed recently by people in the community. Club Penguin, upon hearing it, has apologised in their newest Penguin of the Week update.

This is the statement that Megg left about the dilemma:

Hi Penguins!

Before we announce this week's Penguin of the Week, we first want to say sorry!

Last week, we chose a penguin that had broken a very important Club Penguin rule. While we cannot take back last week's nomination, we have taken steps to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future. We'd also like to thank everyone for understanding that mistakes do happen, and for helping keep our community a safe and fun place. :)

It is nice to see that the mistakes were retracted, but extra caution must be taken in the future to prevent these things from happening again.

Club Penguin Blog: A Haiku for You

Written by: || Tags:

Megg from Club Penguin
Has posted a new blog post
Discussing haikus

In the blog post Megg
Talks about her collection
Passed down from Sensei

At the end Megg asks
Can you come up with haikus?
Let's get poetic

Want to read the post?
Simply scroll down further now
You shall surely see

Hi there penguin friends!

Check this out:

A Day for Haiku,
Was on April 17th,
Let us celebrate

Okay, maybe my haiku skills need some work. Luckily, I know a master poet who can help.

I've collected some of Sensei's past work so that we can learn from him. Here's one of his haiku that tells us exactly how they work:

To write a haiku
You just need to write three lines
Of five, seven, five

Five, seven, five, got it! Let's see what else Sensei says.

And it's quite easy,
To sound very sage and wise,
Speaking with haiku

So true! I feel wise just reading them. Hmmm... what else can I find?

Like the great cookie
We must have honor and strength
And chocolate chips

Wise words that include chocolate chips? I'm really liking this haiku thing.

Do you have any haiku you'd like to share? Let's get poetic in the comments below!

Club Penguin Times Issue #547 - Expedition Into the Wilds!

Written by: || Tags:
Club Penguin have released their 547th issue of the Club Penguin Times: their bi-weekly newspaper! Last week, Club Penguin didn't publish their newspaper. I revealed in a blog post (Weekly Club Penguin Newspaper Makes Switch To Fortnightly Publishing) that it was because Club Penguin were cutting down and instead publishing a new issue bi-weekly, so we would only get two issues a month.

They revealed on the official CP blog that they were running out of ink... a nice joke to a situation people didn't take to so kindly.

Today's newspaper contains articles from PH and Aunt Arctic. The featured article is from PH, called Expedition Into the Wilds! In this article she talks about the launching of the new 2016 Wilderness Expedition. The Puffle Handler informs us that there is a hidden sasquatch village on Club Penguin. How interesting! PH received a letter from the sasquatch, delivered by a blue racoon puffle. You can read the letter she got below.

Club Penguin Reveals The Sasquatch's Name!

On March 19, Megg from the Club Penguin team asked for help naming the Sasquatch of the Club Penguin Island in a "YOU DECIDE" blog post! The choices for the name were Bronk, Scruff, Reginald and Sam.

Weekly Club Penguin Newspaper Makes Switch To Fortnightly Publishing

Written by: || Tags:

Last week, what was meant to be the 547th issue of the Club Penguin Times newspaper was never released. This sent the Club Penguin community in a frenzy, trying to figure out if Club Penguin had simply forgotten, or were making some big changes. One curious penguin by the name of Nina1059CP on Twitter emailed the support team to try and find an answer, and they replied back, informing her that the newspaper will now be published every two weeks, instead of once every week.

Penguin of the Week: Huge R5 Fan - April 18 2016

Written by: || Tags:
It is Monday, and you know what that means? Another Penguin of the Week on the Club Penguin blog.

The newest winner for April 18, 2016 is a penguin that goes by the name of Huge R5 Fan. They have been nominated for this award by Disney Fan 8i, who had some rather nice things to say about their friend.

Their nomination, as stated on the blog, is the following:

"I would like to nominate my friend Huge R5 Fan because she is so sweet and kind, she always helps me out with difficult problems, she has great fashion sense, she has an amazing igloo, and she is the best friend anyone can have so plz Megg put her for POTW. Thxz, Disney Fan 8 Waddle on"

Huge R5 Fan has won 10,000 coins on Club Penguin and the privilege of the official POTW playercard background.

Do you want to nominate your friend for Penguin of the Week? Leave a comment on the Club Penguin blog with your nominee and your reason, and hopefully they will be chosen.

Do keep in mind that a penguin can only win this award once to keep it fair for others, so you cannot select somebody that has already received the award in the past.

Club Penguin Blog: 3 Gary Inventions That Worked! (And 2 That Didn't)

Written by: || Tags:

Megg has written something very new for the Club Penguin blog today. She has made a countdown list. The countdown list she has created is based off of FIVE inventions by Club Penguin's favourite scientist: Gary the Gadget Guy. To be more specific, 3 that worked and 2 that did not.

Gary is an awesome inventor, and it's no doubt he's had a great impact on the scientific progression of Club Penguin, especially in the field of the EPF and the wacky parties that are his idea (Prehistoric Party, Inside Out Party to name a few). I feel as if her blog post is sort of thanking him for his work.

Have a read for yourself!

Club Penguin Wilderness Expedition Announced – April 21 - May 4

Written by: || Tags:
Club Penguin's Wilderness Expedition has officially been announced through the Club Penguin homepage and the log-in screen.

Recently, a new "billboard" advertisement went up, broadcasting the party, which will be taking place from April 21 to May 4 on the Island. During the Wilderness Expedition, Club Penguin members will be able to unlock the Sasquatch costume.

The advertisement above shows the Sasquatch of Club Penguin holding a makeshift fishing rod with a fish on the end of it, showing his survival instincts and ability to thrive in the wild. There is a suspicious penguin lurking in the bushes, perhaps being incited by the Sasquatch's capability and independency.

Oddly, the Sasquatch is shown for the first time without the Beta Hat in this image. He usually wears it when being seen on Club Penguin, so perhaps he takes it off when in his natural habitat.

Nevertheless, I think this is a brilliant sneak peek at the new expedition and a very clever way to promote it.

Club Penguin Pin Cheat - Globe Pin

Written by: || Tags:
The newest collectible Club Penguin pin has been released. The Club Penguin Team release a hidden pin every fortnight on the island for penguins to locate and pick up.

The new pin is called the Globe Pin, and is the island's 358th pin to date. It is hidden at the Ski Village. Below I have provided an image of it.

My Top 5 Club Penguin Parties! (2007–2011)

Written by: || Tags:

Hello everyone. Today is a very exciting day. April 12 is the birthday of Dino Boy7, and it is a very special birthday as my penguin is nine years old today. Typing that out is completely crazy to me. I cannot believe I have been playing Club Penguin for nine whole years. I’ve never had a commitment to a game that long! Not too long ago was my fifth year of blogging for Club Penguin too, time has flown by so fast. But I wouldn’t trade those nine years for the world.

For this special occasion, I was going to make a whole blog post just about me and what I’ve been doing on Club Penguin from 2007 to now, but that’s boring and no one would like that.

I thought instead I’d do something rather special. Since I’ve been on Club Penguin at least weekly for pretty much the whole nine years, my penguin Dino Boy7 has experienced all of the parties from 2007 to present. I knew it’d be too long if I did my favourite party every year over the past nine years, so I’ve cut it down to my top 5 favourite from 2007 to 2011. This allows me to pick out 1 party from each year.

I will be naming a party, introducing it and showing my favourite rooms, as well as listing the best parts of the party, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy!

I have pretty much grown up with this game, and it has created some of the fondest memories of my childhood. I spent a lot of time inside playing Club Penguin, and somehow I have not given up even to this day. It’s basically stuck with me the whole time.

Enough with the emotional stuff, let’s get into the post. I hope you enjoy My Top 5 Club Penguin Parties! (from 2007-2011)

Club Penguin Featured Fan Art: March 2016

Written by: || Tags:

Club Penguin have uploaded a new video to the What's New blog, showcasing the best fan art they received from creative penguins throughout the month of March in 2016. The video excellently displays the talent of the Club Penguin community, from simple sketches to detailed drawings. The video shows a big, broad range of artistry.

Megg, the official Club Penguin blogger, has left this comment on the blog post:

Here's our Featured Fan Art video for March! Huge thanks to each and every player that submitted their art for the video -- it's always so hard to choose, but I LOVE seeing how talented our penguins are :D

Club Penguin's April 2016 Penguin Style clothing catalog is out. Because the Wilderness Expedition is near, Club Penguin have added hiking and camping items to this catalog. As you can see from the front cover, you can see an adventurous penguin, ready for a great expedition!

If you would like to read more about the upcoming Wilderness Expedition, I recommend reading Club Penguin: What's Coming in April 2016? and Club Penguin Times Newspaper #546. They are helpful sources and would provide you with some context if you need it.

The items for non-members never change, so I'm not including them today. If you would like to see them, check out my previous catalog reviews.

Club Penguin: "We're Extending the Puffle Party!"

Written by: || Tags:

Hello Penguins!

Exciting news, Club Penguin have announced that they are extending the Puffle Party! Due to this extension, this party is the longest party EVER on Club Penguin. Megg announced on the Club Penguin blog that the party will end on April 20th for desktop computers, and May 18th on mobile. Why are they extending it so much? Because it was such a big hit. Seems alright to me. Read Megg's full statement below.

Hi Penguins,

Great news! The Puffle Party's been such a huge hit that we've decided to keep the celebration going :D

That means if you missed out on playing hide-n-seek with your favorite color of puffle... there's still time! Here are the new party end dates:

Desktop computers: April 20th, 2016

Club Penguin app: May 18th, 2016

You'll notice that on the Club Penguin app, the Puffle Party extends right through the April Party. That's because, on desktop computers, players can join in on this year's Wilderness Expedition! (YAY!) Players on our mobile app can continue to enjoy all the epicness of the Puffle Party. :D

Here's a clue to what the Wilderness Expedition will be about...

Let us know what you think will happen at this year's expedition in the comments below!

Club Penguin Times Issue #546 - The Sasquatch Goes Wild!

Written by: || Tags:
Hello everyone, it's a Wednesday, and you know what that means?! The newest edition of the Club Penguin Times is out! The Club Penguin Times is the island's weekly newspaper. This week's issue is the fourteenth issue of 2016 and the 546th issue of all time.

This week's issue is gonna be a big one. We get some information about the Sasquatch from Puffle Handler, which is connected to the upcoming alleged Wilderness Expedition. And for some balance, a silly article from Rookie!

The main article for today is named The Sasquatch Goes Wild! brought to us from PH. In the article, she discusses that, recently, there's been whispering among the puffles in the Wilds. She theorises that the Sasquatch is related to the puffles being very excited by something deep in the Wilds. She finishes her article with "There's an adventure brewin', mates. I can feel it." Thanks for the article, PH! An adventure would be a nice refresher after all the wacky parties recently. And we haven't had one quite like this since 2011.

Club Penguin Blog: CLUB PLATYPUS!

Written by: || Tags:
Megg has made a very interesting post on the Club Penguin blog, called Project: Super Secret – Thrill'a with a Duck Bill'a, in which she basically explains that Club Penguin is becoming something different... Club Platypus! She says THIS is what Project Super Secret is!! What??!

I'll let you read the blog post yourself.

Hi penguins,

Have you ever wanted to be a semi-aquatic Australian mammal? Now you can!

I'd like to welcome you all to:
CLUB PLATYPUS!

We have a fantastic new artist who has no ability to draw penguins whatsoever! Could this be the end of Project Super Secret? Fortunately no, because our artist can draw amazing platypuses (platypi?, platypodes?, whatever).

From there, the choice was easy-- we didn't have one!

Don't worry! This is still the Project Super Secret you've been waiting for, with just one difference-- no penguins!

Instead, famous penguins like Aunt Arctic will be sporting a new look.

Way to rock the duck bill, AA!

Of course, that's not the only change. Herbert will be returning as a hamster and Klutzy will be a blobfish.

This seemed like the natural progression of the characters.

How excited are you for Club Platypus? Let's hear about it in the comments!

Paddle On!

-Club Platypus Team

Yes, if you couldn't tell by now it is an April Fools' joke. Well played, Megg. Well played.
